ANNUAL FREELAND FILM FESTIVAL GOES VIRTUAL FOR 2020

Presented by Freeland from Green Lake, Wisconsin, this year’s films, panels, and discussions will be available online, for a virtual film fest!
GREEN LAKE, WISCONSIN, June 1, 2020— More than ever, we live in a world that faces enormous challenges and is in need of hope. This year, the Freeland Film Festival, held September 11-15, 2020, is moving their film festival online so viewers everywhere can share in films, discussions, and stories that inspire.
The Freeland Film Festival is a program supporting the mission of Freeland, an international counter-trafficking non-profit that focuses on ending wildlife and human trafficking, as well as protecting vulnerable people and ecosystems. Freeland’s programs fight wildlife trade and human slavery on the frontline. To address the cause of Covid-19 and prevention of future zoonotic transmission, Freeland is also going undercover in wildlife markets to identify areas of vulnerability and raise global awareness of their danger.
Complementing EndPandemics, a global alliance of 20+ organizations led by Freeland working to prevent future pandemics, the festival will communicate the importance of biodiversity on our planet, the need to protect vulnerable people and ecosystems, and share answers of hope! Our stories will showcase events occurring in our own backyard in Green Lake and will also transport viewers with stories from around the world.
Starting September 11, 2020, join the Freeland Film Festival virtually, from wherever you are, to experience the outstanding films, panels, and discussions. Event and viewing experience details to come late summer. To learn more about Freeland and the film festival and get to know last year’s winners, visit freelandfilmfest.org
